Quest Solutions, Inc.
Quest Solutions' origins date back two decades. Since then, the company has introduced several innovative estimating software products, claimed a significant share of the market and grown to employ about 50 people.
In 1982, a small group of contractors founded the Construction Estimating Institute in Sarasota, Florida, as a nonprofit educational company. Their mission was to provide contractors with training and education in areas like building estimating, civil estimating, management and general construction.
Five years later, the Institute entered the estimating software field by establishing CEIA, Inc. This for-profit company developed and distributed two DOS-based earth-measuring programs, A.G.E and TOPOIIID.
For nearly a decade, CEIA, Inc. did quite well with A.G.E. and TOPOIIID. Then, in 1995, the company capitalized on advancements in computer technology and released its first Windows-based product, Quest for Contractors, and the first of its exclusive Visual Assemblies. CEIA, Inc. also changed its name to Quest Solutions, Inc.
The next five years saw tremendous growth and expansion for Quest Solutions, as the company quadrupled its business during that time to become the second-largest provider of construction estimating software. Quest Solutions worked to develop a diverse line of estimating software, releasing stand-alone programs and Visual Assemblies aimed at contractors in most major construction specialties.
So what's in store for the future?
Quest has migrated our core applications to the new Microsoft .NET development environment, and continues the process of bringing over our full product line to that sophisticated architecture. This transition will help our products run faster and last longer in the ever-changing world of construction technology.
Integration is not just a buzzword at Quest; ensuring our estimating software is compatible with other leading construction business tools is a top priority.
We're also making our own products work together seamlessly. For example, we've added the digital takeoff functionality of Quest Takeoff right into Quest Estimator, and integrated features from Roadwork and Trenchwork into Quest Earthwork.
In addition, we've improved our Visual Assembly feature, now enabling estimators to view interactive, 3-D Visual Assemblies of any structure during takeoff.
Technology tools are constantly evolving. While it is our job to incorporate those tools into our software, it is our mission to deliver easy-to-use estimating solutions that will help you grow your business.
