These products extend the service life of sidewall components by creating the necessary air space in a rainscreen wall assembly that drains wind-driven rain from behind the cladding, and ventilates to remove moisture.
In Canada, the National Building Code was recently amended to mandate the use of a rainscreen system including a minimum 10-millmeter air space break in all areas that exceed a certain rainfall threshold. Home Slicker 10 Plus Typar meets this requirement.
