Charleston Gas Light is known for its elegant, historic lantern designs dating to the 1800s, and so it is appropriate that our lanterns are named for historic plantations, people, and places. Each fixture is individually handcrafted using the highest quality copper and the finest finishes available. We can also custom build lanterns to your specifications to create one-of-a-kind lighting fixtures. We are confident that our lanterns will exceed your expectations and add beauty and value to your home or office for many years to come.

All lanterns can be configured for natural gas, liquid propane, or electric illumination. Safety is paramount at Charleston Gas Light and we are proud that our lanterns carry both UL and CSA safety certification labels.

In addition, all gas lanterns can be outfitted with electronic gas safety starters that can be controlled by switch, timer, or photocell. For your convenience, lanterns are listed alphabetically. Because our lanterns are individually handcrafted, actual lantern dimensions may vary slightly from the sizes listed. Measurements provided are base lantern sizes, however, scroll brackets, top loops, hanging rings, etc. will add to a lantern’s overall height or width. Please call us if you have questions about a particular lantern’s dimensions with decorative elements added.

All lanterns come standard in natural copper. Optional high-quality finishes, solid copper top panels, and decorative elements offer almost unlimited opportunities to customize the look of your lanterns. Pricing is available upon request.
