Arizona-based artist-designer Ann Norman was born in Santa Monica, California but her family’s roots go back three generations to the White Mountains of eastern Arizona. Thus, the inspiration for her unique designs comes from both her California upbringing and the Arizona deserts and ranchland. This city-country duality is often reflected in her innovative designs.Norman is a self-taught artist in a variety of media, starting with an early interest in painting, writing and music. However, a love of bath décor has been a consistent interest throughout her life.Her award-winning designer lines offer basins and vessels made from the highest quality 100 percent solid EverDur bronze and aluminum.Norman’s original designer line, “Crows Feet,” as well as her latest “Tombstone Collection” were inspired by her recollection of stories about indigenous American cultures that she heard growing up. In addition, her "Petroglyph” line has three designs: “Observatory,” “Windows of Chaco” and “Life Feathers.”While Norman has earned a reputation nationally for her handcrafted bronze sink designs that manage to evoke a new Americana style at once rustic and high fashion, her work refuses to be so easily pigeonholed.In a more modernistic vein, she has recently found inspiration with a soon-to-be-released contemporary “Vogue Collection” inspired by the resilience, grace and style of the Hollywood scene.Ann Norman currently lives in Oro Valley, AZ with her two sons Neil and Riley.
